Pinned It, Did It: Striped Painted Cork Board

Alright, let’s admit it, we all spend a lot of time pinning things to our various  Pinterest boards and many with the intention of trying to make ourselves. My DIY Ideas board is growing fast and furious and the other day I thought to myself, ‘I just need to start actually trying to make some of this.’ I think the big issue I have is that part of me feels like I’m being a ‘copycat’ and lacking creativity by using someone’s idea. After thinking it through, I realized that people post tutorials on their blogs for others to make it. So, I’m doing just that, starting with this awesome, and easy little Painted Cork Board.

This version is from The Happy Home

And, this is the version I made the other day.

For a full tutorial, you can find it here on The Happy Home.

  6. I think you’re so right…bloggers want you to try to make their projects!

On another note, the thought hadn’t even crossed my mind to have a cork board, but after seeing yours (and the original too), I really, really want to make one for my craft room! I’m glad you made yours and shared it with all of us!

Looks terrific, Amanda! If all those pretty projects were as simple as this one, we might actually do more than just “pin” them, right? lol

Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Hope to see you each week.

    Blessings,

  8. Very cute! Love how it turned out =) And you can also change the layout of the squares if you want to move them to another place in your house, e.g. have them all stacked in one row. xo Anja
