I bought these little planters about a month ago because as I’ve mentioned before, I’m slowly trying to add more color into our home. I have them in our kitchen window behind the sink but every time I walk by them I think to myself that they aren’t really me. I wanted to add a little something to them to a) tone them down a little bit and b) make them a little more interesting.
In walks some garden twine and a little foam glue and viola! Such an easy not to mention inexpensive way to make a noticeable change to some old pots you have lying around the house.
I love foam glue because it drys clear so even if you get it someplace unintentional, you wont see it once it dries.
I love twine. In fact, I have a couple more projects I’m working on where I use it to add a subtle decorative aspect to an otherwise boring piece.
Have you used twine in any of your projects? Whats your favorite way to use twine?

Hi Amanda,
I love your pots -very cute! I like the combo of the bright colors and the rustic twine. And I’ve never used foam glue; I’ll have to try it out.
