reclaimed wood shelves: my top 5 choices

D and I LOVE reclaimed wood. Like, L.O.V.E the stuff big-time. If I could, I would have as many pieces as possible in our home made from the stuff. But it can be pricy unless you salvage the wood and build the item yourself. Well, here is where I had another lightbulb moment! I’m the daughter of a carpenter and I’m sure SOME of his master skills rubbed off on me. We shall see…

I’m starting with Reclaimed Wood Shelves for our office and seeing where I can go from there. We have a blank wall space behind my desk as seen here:

Looking at this photo makes me cringe. I am so excited for you all to see the final project once it is finished (it’s taking me a little longer then expected).

In the meantime, here are my Top 5 Favorite  Reclaimed Wood Shelves:

  1. There are so many beautiful reclaimed wood pieces in this article. I’m always amazed at how a simple scrap piece can be transformed into something {else} so functional and beautiful. Check out more great ideas and a tips on how to get your salvage scarp reinvented into something amazing. http://blog.custommade.com/2012/01/your-home-remembered-in-reclaimed-wood-furniture/

Thanks for stopping by Marcie! I completely agree with you. I have so many fun projects ahead using old pieces of wood. I can’t wait! I will definitely check out your link.

      Best to you!

  2. I love the reclaimed wood look – shelving, ceilings, floors, walls. You cannot go overboard with it, but you can do pops of it throughout a home. Thanks for sharing!
