I’m linking up over at Tatertots & Jello so come on over and look!

and over at Sugar and Spice!

also at The Shabby Nest

as well as Fingerprints on the Fridge

and last but not least, Miss Mustard Seed

reclaimed wood shelves: my top 5 choices

D and I LOVE reclaimed wood. Like, L.O.V.E the stuff big-time. If I could, I would have as many pieces as possible in our home made from the stuff. But it can be pricy unless you salvage the wood and build the item yourself. Well, here is where I had another lightbulb moment! I’m the daughter of a carpenter and I’m sure SOME of his master skills rubbed off on me. We shall see…

I’m starting with Reclaimed Wood Shelves for our office and seeing where I can go from there. We have a blank wall space behind my desk as seen here:

Looking at this photo makes me cringe. I am so excited for you all to see the final project once it is finished (it’s taking me a little longer then expected).

In the meantime, here are my Top 5 Favorite  Reclaimed Wood Shelves:

5 things i love this week

1) Pinterest (Image courtesy of Pinterest). A fun way to organize and share all things you love on the web.

2) Reclaimed Wood Shelves (Image courtesy of Country Living Magazine). I love everything in this photo from the reclaimed wood shelf to the cream-colored ceramic pottery to the bowl of apples.

3) Further Hand Lotion (Image courtesy of Furtherproducts.com). I think this is hands down the best hand lotion I have every used. It is the perfect consistency, absorbs quickly, smells clean and pure, and soothes my dry hands quite nicely.

4) My Sorel Boots (Photo courtesy of Sorel.com). These things are incredible warm, durable, and not to mention cute. I wear these things whenever I get the chance. I also have the shot version in black with brown and red plaid.

5) Old Suitcases. I love the way the look especially but have also seem them used in innovative ways. Think bedside nightstand. Oh the places they have been!
